Many people keep complaining that their laptop computer’s speed is really gone slow after few months and they either plan to sell off their laptops or go for a upgradation, without analyzing the root cause for this. There are many many reasons why a Laptop can get slow and we are going to discuss some of them here -

Solution – Empty Recycle Bin, Remove Unwanted programs and softwares using Add/Remove Programs.

Problem – Programs running Slow because of Less RAM

Problem – Moving Files takes lot of time
Solution – Check out All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter option where you need to Analyze the Disk and Defragment it, where in the program tries to move all the files and relocate them in the correct locations and make sure that the file accessing time is reduced and the programs run quicker

Problem – Internet related Programs running Slower
Solution – Make a quick Antivirus check and find if there are any Virus, Malwares, Trojans or Spywares installed on your Notebook and try to remove them as soon as possible, because most of these keep connecting to the internet and try to upload and download useless stuff.

Problem – System Slow because of Laptop Over Heating
Solution – Most Laptops are compact in size which are built with high performance hardware like higher RAM, Video Cards, Biggesr Hard Disks which is the reason they get over heated and can hang down your applications and even restart the laptop. Try to use your Laptop at a location which is cooler and also try to use Laptop Cooling Pads.

One final suggestion would be to use TuneUp Utilities software on your computer which comes free for 30 days where in you can optimize your complete laptop and make sure it runs on the highest speed and the best performance.
